Sarah Michelle Gellar SHADES Scrapped Buffy Reboot at 2026 Emmys
Sarah Michelle Gellar shades the scrapped 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' reboot at the 2026 Emmys, which aired live on NBC and Peacock on Monday, Sept. 14. The actress appeared alongside her co-star, David Boreanaz, in celebration of the series' 30th anniversary. When David wonders if Buffy and his character, Angel, ended up together, Sarah claps back, 'I guess we won't find out' -- a dig at Hulu's decision to scrap the in-the-works series after just a pilot episode. The pair also acknowledged the cast and crew who've experienced 'a tough two years' in the wake of the show getting scrapped.
