Zero Trust Explained in 5 Minutes
? Build it yourself, with our free hands-on labs - https://kode.wiki/3RgIxXE
Zero Trust on AWS means no request is trusted just for sitting inside the network. In this video we build a locked-down internal API where every call has to cryptographically prove who sent it, or it hits a 403.
We fire two requests from the same EC2 instance, on the same VPC, at the same API Gateway URL. One walks away with our top secret inventory item. The other gets stopped cold at the gateway. The only difference is a signed identity.
That is zero trust made concrete, and every piece comes with a free lab so you build the whole architecture yourself.
? What you'll learn:
1️⃣ Why being "inside the network" is the weakness, not the protection
2️⃣ How to protect the data itself first, with DynamoDB encrypted at rest
3️⃣ Least privilege in practice
4️⃣ The single API Gateway switch that turns away every unsigned request
5️⃣ How SigV4 signing makes the same machine get a 200 or a 403 on identity alone
