New Volvo XC60 First Look – Everything You Need To Know!
We’ve had a first look at the new Volvo XC60! It's now the best-selling Volvo ever – last year it overtook the legendary 240 in the Swedish brand’s all-time sales charts – and this 2027 facelift needs to keep this popular family SUV competitive against the Audi Q5 and BMW X3. In this video, we take a close look at the updated XC60 ahead of order books opening this autumn.
You’ll find out:
• Styling changes: new wings, bonnet, bumper and a new slimmer grille, fresh take on the Thor's Hammer headlights, 21-inch diamond-cut alloys and new Heather Bronze paint
• Rear changes: redesigned bumper and tailgate, plus a new tail light signature
• Engines: the B5 mild-hybrid petrol is carried over – a 2.0-litre turbo with 247bhp and four-wheel drive, and it should offer official economy of around 37mpg
• Plug-in hybrids: two new PHEVs with a 37.9kWh battery – bigger than the one in the fully electric Fiat 500e, giving an official pure electric range of up to 124 miles
• Company car tax: why both versions sit in the 7% benefit-in-kind band, and how close the T6 gets to the 4% bracket
• The electric alternative: the new Volvo EX60, and how it fared when we tested it against the BMW iX3, Mercedes GLC and Tesla Model Y
• Boot space: 483 litres in the B5 and 468 litres in the plug-in hybrids, and why the underfloor storage is the difference
• Rear passenger space: how a six-foot reviewer fares in the back, and where rivals like the Land Rover Discovery Sport still win
• Interior & tech: the 11.2-inch Google-based touchscreen with Google Gemini voice assistant, redesigned door cards, new speaker grilles and Cardamom nappa leather with Brown Ash decor
• Safety: upgraded radar, ultrasonic sensors, cameras and safety computer, plus a door-opening alert and automatic lane changing for Pilot Assist
• Prices & order books: how much it’s likely to cost, and why the outgoing XC60 could be a bargain right now
