A man who raped a Sikh woman in her own home and subjected her to religiously aggravated abuse in the attack has been given a life sentence with a minimum term of more than 13 years.

Jon Ashby, 32 seen here on the night of the attack targeted the victim because he mistakenly believed she was Muslim. He pleaded guilty earlier this week.
In his sentencing remarks Mr Justice Pepperall described Ashby as a "very dangerous man" and someone who posed an extreme level of danger to the public.
