
Why Michigan voters think the US midterms are all about Donald Trump
It's just over three weeks until the US midterm elections here, which are seen by many as a referendum on Donald Trump’s presidency

And the consequences? It means that his Republican party could lose control not just of the House of Representatives, but of the Senate too.
Democrats have the potential to flip a number of Senate seats, and each of those campaigns tells another story of the party's own internal division over whether to move with a wave of excitement for progressive candidates, or stick to the status quo.
Nowhere is that more apparent than in Michigan.
Before the vote to decide who will control Congress, we've been to the key swing state, where there was plenty of anger aimed at Trump and very mixed views on Abdul El-Sayed, a left-wing Democrat making waves.
We heard from voters in a focus group organised for Channel 4 News by the research group PF Global about what could be one of the most consequential midterms in history.
