An amber weather warning for extreme heat remains in force across a large part of England, with temperatures forecast to peak at up to 38C. The Royal College of Nursing has warned about the impact of the heat on hospitals and care homes, saying many are 'not fit for humans', and that patients are suffering and nursing staff are collapsing on shift.
