Oil prices rose to over $100 a barrel for the first time since July. It follows an escalation in the conflict in the middle-east between the US and Iran.
Five Iranian tankers were reportedly hit by the US after Tehran attacked a US naval ship. Before the conflict started in February oil was at $70 a barrel.
The huge fluctuations in prices have been felt at petrol pumps around the world.
