A boy has died after being pulled from the water at London's Royal Victoria Dock.

Initial reports said the 13-year-old had been playing football with friends on a small beach area and entered the water to retrieve the ball.
His death brings the number of people who have died in water-related incidents during the recent hot weather to nine, and is in addition to the 15 who died during the spell of extremely warm weather in May.
