In Cameroon, near the Sanaga River, a young orphan chimpanzee named Cannelle learns to live wild again. Raised by Patricia and her team, she discovers how to feed, play, and survive among her own kind. Around her, rescued chimps are finding freedom on the river islands, creating new families and proving that rewilding truly works.
As Cannelle grows, she must face her last test: joining a real troop in the forest. Acceptance is never certain, but hope is. Her story becomes a symbol of trust between humans and nature, and of the fragile path from rescue to true freedom.
